Well, for the first event it was not the best turnout, but for those who did venture out to Pike Fold Golf Club they were rewarded with an excellent day. The weather stayed fine, and the course was in great condition. So, after a hearty breakfast we started the first event of the year. Barry Moran took first place followed by Captain Steve Robertson, then there was a card playoff for third place with Steve Hazlehurst stealing the position from Bob Wilkinson. Longest Drive went to Alex Rydstrom, no one made it to the green for nearest the pin except for our only guest Andy Ashe, and as we all know the guests can only win the best guest prize, so unlucky Andy and well done for turning up and winning best guest, although to be fair with a score of 37 playing off a handicap of 12 he would have won more if he was a member. So all in all a great first event despite the numbers. So, onto our nest event at……….
