Dear Member

We managed to avoid the rain on our visit to Sale Golf Club, for our Scottish themed Captains Day, After a full and delicious Scottish breakfast, the intrepid nineteen members from various Clans and wearing their respective Tartans (well almost) a game of golf ensued. Bernard Scott played the game of his life and managed to par every hole on the back nine to amass 41 points and claim a well deserved first prize. Bob Vickers came second after a card play off with Barry Moran for third place. Best Guest went to Norman Crowther, Longest drive to Barry Moran, and nearest the pin to Cleve McCurdy. Two’s tote was shared by Bob Vickers, Dave Wilkinson, Steve Hazlehurst, Paul Boone. All finished off by a delicious Chicken Curry. All in all a great event and our thanks go to Mr Captain Steve Robertson for a great event and year so far. So, onto our final event at…
